Trial Lesson Gift Vouchers

These are designed to be used either as an introduction to the Private Pilots Licence courses, or as flight lesson experience for that special occasion, be it for a family member or friend.

After being shown how the controls affect the aircraft's flight, you will get to fly the aircraft and it therefore allows you to get a 'feel' for the flying training courses. As an added bonus, if the voucher recipient has a desire to fly over a specific area, and this can be achieved within the voucher time-scale, providing the pilot deems it safe and Air Traffic Control permission is received, we can usually accommodate such a request. (All flights are subject to appropriate weather conditions. Should the weather be unsuitable on the day chosen, an alternate date can be arranged at no cost, subject to the vouchers validity date.)

Cumbernauld Flying Centre Ltd, their staff and agents, cannot be held responsible for unsuitable weather, staff illness and unforseen technical issues effecting flight bookings.

If you desire to have longer flight times than those mentioned, we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Trial Lesson flight time qualifies within the training syllabus towards the Private Pilots Licence (PPL) or National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL) so the time appropriate to the voucher will count if full training is commenced (usually within six months).

This means that should you decide to take up this exciting skill after experiencing your Gift Voucher flight, you will not have wasted your money.

Aircraft seating assumes that students or passengers are all of average build and weight (Max 17 stone per person, a maximum height of 6'5"). A lower minimum age of 12 years would be appropriate in order for the person to reach the various flight controls. In our four seat aircraft, anyone of about this lower age limit should be accompanied by an adult when occupying the rear seats. We reserve the right to modify flight bookings for 'safety' considerations.

Our definition of seating is:
Two Seat = Pilot plus "student"
Four Seat = Pilot plus "student" and accompanied by up to two friends or family members as guests of the student.

Gift Vouchers are valid for nine months from their date of purchase and MUST BE USED within that period so please ensure the flight is reserved accordingly. Remember that during the Summer months, the Flying Centre will become very busy.

Gift Vouchers once purchased are not refundable due to the nature of aircraft bookings, however they CAN be transferred and used by another person within the "Terms & Conditions".
